Lawyerly welcomes creator and entertainment attorney Merrick Soss
We’re excited to share that creator and entertainment attorney Merrick Soss has joined the Lawyerly team from January 20, 2026.
Merrick joins after almost a decade at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a leading talent agency, where she has focused on representing and providing business and legal affairs support for talent in the influencer, entertainment and creator economy spaces.
At CAA, she worked closely with creators, influencers and entertainment brands to turn their content and brands into durable and scalable businesses, by providing practical legal advice on matters across all facets of entertainment, including:
commercial agreements
high-value sponsorship and endorsement deals
licensing and service agreements
influencer and creator marketing
event appearances
podcast agreements
She also advises on advertising compliance and digital media industry trends, skills that are becoming essential as the creator and entertainment worlds expand at speed.
Bringing Merrick onboard deepens Lawyerly’s offering in these fast-growing sectors, and reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting creators, entertainers and innovators with smart, reasonably priced legal guidance.
“Starting the year with Merrick on our team is a big win for the firm and for our clients,” says Elliot Rozenberg, Lawyerly’s founder. “Her experience and industry insight will help our clients navigate exciting opportunities with the caliber of legal support needed to build a successful brand in today's world.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Merrick to the Lawyerly family and we can’t wait for our clients to get to know and work with her.
